The heart of South Jordan is now centered around the South Jordan City building on 106th South and Redwood Road.  Nearby is the most recognizable landmark in the central valley, LDS Jordan River Temple and the white spires of the temple are visible from many different communities in the valley.  Transportation is facilitated by newly widened streets and access to both the Bangeter Highway and Interstate 15.  South Jordan is also home to the new master planned Daybreak community, a large housing development on property owned by Kennicott corporation.  South Jordan is known for providing a diverse collection of recreational opportunities including both public and private golf courses, hiking, biking, as well as easy access to the world’s greatest snow at the nearby Big and Little Cottonwood Canyon resorts, and the Park City area with Deer Valley, The Canyons and Park City Mountain Resort.
