In every Real Estate process both the Buyer and Seller have the right to their own representation.  So if you are buying a home, you should have a Buyer’s Agent, and the good news is, IT’S FREE.  Why Free?  Because when a  seller lists a property they agree to  pay all the commissions due both Buying and Selling Agent at the end of the sale.  So the Buyers agent gets paid from the proceeds of the sale.   So what could be better? You get free representation with a licensed Realtor, a trusted advisor through the entire sale, a skilled negotiator to represent your interests, and trained and experienced guide to handle all the transactional details through the entire process.  Not only are you guaranteed a successful process, but an agent can make your home buying experience significantly less stressful at the same time. 

It’s also important to have your own representation because the Selling Agent DOES NOT represent you.  When you get to the signing of the contract, this will be disclosed to you, but most new buyers who are out looking on their own often assume the selling agent who helps them is going to represent them during the transaction and this is not the case.
